Kara’s sleep was deep as the ocean she had feared so readily during her acid trip. For once, the Cahalith did not dream in technicolor hallucinations, vivid and disturbing, and she awoke no worse for wear from her experience.

She had tried to capitalize on the vivid nature of the LSD trip to work some more on the song she’d been mulling over in her head since they’d first moved to New Bedford.
