Maybe the tall girl would've tripped, if Sarah hadn't said anything. Now, she looks down, spots her untied laces and kneels to retie them. She shoots a glare back at Sarah over shoulder, but then turns her head away and stands back up without further words. "Hmph!"

"Let's get out of here..." , the other girls murmur, huddling together as they walk away, giving scared glances to Sarah and Beatrix as they do.

Meanwhile, on the phone: "... hired? By who? Teenagers?" The man's tone is flat enough that it's hard to tell if it's an honest question or a sarcastic stab. "... tell me, how much are they paying you?"
