Suddenly uncertain, Lydia takes a step away from the writhing mass of green worms where two kobolds once stood. "What is this?! By the gods, Shukak, what have you done?!" Rushing towards where the lizardfolk chieftain is hovering overhead, she swipes up at him with her longsword.

The lantern archon's brilliant light returns, having been momentarily dimmed by the lizard chieftain's transformation. A pulsating hum can be heard from its core as two more rays of light streak out, blasting away at the nearest mass of writhing worms.
