I highly recommend Gladius. Most of the DLC is good too, particularly the ones that add new races to the game, as they are generally very distinct from each other. Even if you don't want to play as a race, fighting them can be super fun.

Well, I picked up Gladius and all its DLC at half-price and after giving it a few hours I gotta say you were right! I'm really enjoying it and I've only done the tutorial. It just kinda sucked me in and before I knew it I'd played much longer than I intended to on a work night. Thanks for the recommendation, warty goblin!
