Sieghart’s first impulse upon seeing the goblins appear is to put himself between the monsters and the nearest defenseless person, which happened to be the old priest.

"Keep low, Sir!” he shouted to the priest. "If you can, try and lead the other civilians to safety!" Sieghart pulled his gunblade free from its scabbard and faced the goblin menace. Never a dull moment in Golarion, it seemed. This world seemed to be menaced by monsters as often as his own. He gave Hiss a nod before jerking his head towards the goblins.

“You ready to do this, partner?” He rushed to the nearest goblin, his sword resting on his shoulder, and took the hilt in a two-handed grip before swinging down with his full weight to cut into the monster’s bulbous head.
