There is one person who cares about it, but...she's probably also the only one who cares about whether her hood is up or down.

Seraphina bites her lip and jabs her thumb joint with a fingernail when told it's going to hurt. It seems to help. It needs stitches, actually, on both sides. Scarring would be unfortunate, but seems likely.
She answers his question, too, while he's working on it: "One of them - couldn't even open a door - tried to take apart the MRI. Probably one of those people who thinks MRIs are nuclear-powered, too. Then the other one came in and threatened to shoot everyone who wouldn't give her all their money. The first one thought he messed up so badly that the whole place was going to explode, so I made it believable by telling the second one that the coolant got in the wrong place and could cause a flash-freeze pressure burst." She pauses, thinks, and adds, "I mean, it's possible for that to happen, but it would require someone to know what they were doing, and not whatever that first guy was doing."

Actually,
talking helps. Talking has always made her feel better, so talking about this helps her deal with the lightheadedness and nausea, and the embarrassment of where the wound is, and the pain of the stitches as well.
