Vigil VII: Strife Amidst the Clouds

Dr. Valiance seems particularly troubled by his wristband malfunction.

He was trying to make a nice gesture here, something to perhaps curry lost favor with his higher-up!

This wouldn't do at all! In a panic, the scientist taps a few more times at his wristband in an attempt to deactivate the thing. Unfortunately, this only worsens the situation, as Dr. Valiance appears to have accidentally activated yet another effect. In an instant, a geyser of hot oil bursts forth from his wrist. The stream of oil ceases after only a second or so, but it's enough to drench the floor. Valiance, mortified with this far worse outcome, can only grimace. "Aw, hell. Uh, I can fix that."

"But, um - yes! You're going to like this. I met someone, and it was great. More stuff, but um. Sorry."
