Spoiler: For the newcomer!

Excruciating pain suddenly awakens you from a sleep you didn’t know you were having. A powerful surge of magic arcs through your body, lighting up every nerve and fibre of your being. Your muscle contract involuntary, tensing from the attack, throwing you into violent fits of convulsions.

Only you don’t go any where. Bound to a small stone table, metal shackles dig at your wrists and ankles, you are unable to move. Even your cries can barely escape the well constructed leather gag in your mouth. But at least you can see.

There is no light in the room. The stone roof is not much to look at. You are stuck lying down. Straining your head you can see some sort of alter above you.
There are some sitting cushions around the walls and but a single solid door.

When you awoke you believed you still retained some of your old memories, but now you cant be so sure. Like a dream fading to your waking hours, your memories slipped away from you over the years of contained isolation, if you ever really had them at all.

For the first time since you awoke, you hear voices beyond that large solid door. Then a scream of pain followed by a thud and silence.

You don’t know how long it was until this repeated again, this time a heavy continuous thudding followed as something banged on the door for a while before giving up.

Another time many muffled voices gave way to screams but then as always, it was consumed by the ever haunting silence that dragged on for eternity.

As of recently the most exciting thing has occurred, an animal sniffs and occasionally scratches at your door. For weeks this has happened. Sometimes with days in between, other times mere hours. It hears your pleas and sits out side gnawing on things you can only imagine.

Candles
A few torches stashed beside the bed in a holder. (Seems an odd place to have so many)
