Malak withdraws directly away from this monstrosity. Oddity steps into the place where Malak was, protecting his master as he goes, then goes on the offensive.

Oddity uses his AOOs to invoke his Bodyguard and if necessary, In Harm's Way feats.
Bodyguard (Ex): When an adjacent ally is attacked, it may use an AOO to attempt the Aid Another action to improve its ally's AC.
* It may not use the Aid Another action to improve its ally's attack roll w/ this attack.
In Harm's Way (Ex): While using the aid another action to improve an adjacent ally’s AC, they can intercept a successful attack against that ally as an IA, taking full damage from that attack and any associated effects (bleed, poison, etc.).
* A creature cannot benefit from this feat more than once per attack.
GM: Please roll for his Aid Another, noting that his armor grants an additional +2 bonus to the Aid Another check (not that it should matter, unless there is a penalty).
Oddity's action .... he steps into the space opened up by his master, and increases his reach some using his shapechaging powers and attacks with Rippling Current.
AOOs: as above to protect Malak.
FA: 5' step into Malak's former square.
SwA: Reaching blade stance (1st attack of round gets +5' reach. All attacks receive +1d6 dmg.)
SA: Rippling Current (1d20+18)[30], damage (3d6+12)[20] + (4d6)[16] from maneuver and stance.
