I remember my strategy for most Protoss missions in the first game and expansion: guard some probes making pylons and photon cannons, encourage the enemy to chase units into the photon cannons and profit.

Of course my method for defeating Protoss in the first game was destroying the pylons, then mopping up easier
A lot of it is quintessential "protoss deathball rolls over enemy" type play, but the prevalence of hybrid enemies and the substantially greater threats to your base tone the power trip back IMO. You have power, but the enemy is smarter than to just exclusively run into your meatgrinder.
