[Scorching Depths]

Braon doesn't appear overly comforted by this. Where she's from, having multiple personas is usually either an indicator of duplicity or insanity, sometimes both. And Sekhmet seemed to have doubled up on it, whatever it was. And Sekhmet's words didn't change the fact that she still just threw someone into an interdimensional mincer.

But then, a thought occurs. If Sekhmet's behavior now was a result of bringing another persona to the front, maybe she could be coaxed down from it by appealing to another part of her nature. Thankfully, Braon had recently discovered a way of doing that.

Braon takes a shuddering little breath and steps back, picturing that oversized cloak around her and the heavy footfalls of her father's killer stalking the cabin. She might not like internally reliving this moment, but it was the only thing she knew resonated with the demon queen.

"...Please stop. You're scaring me." She whispers, letting that fear filter into her words.
