If you can remember any unique key words from the setting, like its name or any custom deities or any of the posters who posted in the thread etc., you can use a deep Google search (i.e. site:giantitp.com) using those terms to help dig it up, and those should go back a number of years. You can also use google techniques like bounding your search to a specific timeframe if you remember when the thread was created.
