[Adam's Estate]

Talking to the child is leagues above gagging the kid and stuffing them in a sack to carry around and ransom. It's unfortunate that the guards yelling things makes it scary again.

But... the kid manages to nod to June as she puts them down. That's a pretty good sign overall!

Well, maybe not for June as she gets pushed down even further and her hands get pulled behind her back and cuffed. They are not being gentle at all. June can probably hear the waves of hisses from one to another. Just a whole hissing at her fest. Her and the other catgirl who doesn't fare much better.

They will all three be escorted back to the manor and June is placed in a 'holding cell', which basically consists of one of the unused servants' rooms. As far as confined chambers go, this is actually really nice. It's clear that Adam doesn't skimp on treating the help well here. She even gets her cuffs removed. Any dislodged shoulders she'll have to deal with on her own.

She's left to stew for about half an hour, plenty of time to plot out an escape plan if she wishes, before a catgirl shows up. British shorthair by the looks of it. Clearly one of the security forces here to grill June, based on her uniform and equipment, though she seems to have left all weaponry outside in exchange for a folder. If June doesn't try anything particularly daring or dastardly as she comes in, she'll start off with a very simple question that's going to lead into many, many more questions.

"What's your name?"
