R4T18: Telgarana finally breaks free fully from the grasp and Red, recognizing a free agent on the field, sends a mental image directly into Telly's mind. Having long ago worked through her fears, she is completely unbowed by the attempt to slayer her from within her own mind.

R4T13-11: Jin feels himself valiantly repel the static screen and imagines himself slaying the creatures. Meanwhile, the creature he goes to vanquish that he thinks is one of these big, eggplant-colored slugs ... is actually Genki! He switches the energy in his earrings, which has him briefly slur for a second or two, but he is still in control of timing after that, and now his gauntlets and polearm's blade roils with even more violent energy. Remembering ... something about .... what he sees, he goes for normal precision rather than focused aggression or defense. All three attacks sent, and all three rebuffed.

R4T8: Darius cleared his head several seconds earlier, early enough to see the coward Iluvar leave. He picks up his sword, takes a quick study of Genki, steps forward to give a falcon strike but it is a clumsy miss.
