Most of the humor comics people like are comic STRIPS ("funnies"), not comic books. There are a few exceptions (like the aforementioned Asterix), but for the most part comic books fall into different genres.

Despite me having named the two most popular comic books in the UK, both humour anthologies?

Maybe different cultures have different dominant genres?

It's my understanding that pretty much all of the U.K.'s publishing industry is especially borked these days.
