Good Music For A Fight With An Alien General?

When fighting a general, alien or human, you can never go wrong with the 1812 Overture.

Yes, you can. It's great music, but 1812 is an upbeat song, with a happy undertone to it - not really good for an epic battle, at least not until the very end when the PCs are just heaping the last few blows on the good-as-dead boss.

My suggestion, like Voshkod, is O Fortuna. It is one of the best songs ever penned for conveying a sense of the epic, in my opinion.

Alternately, look into both Neodammerung and Navras, from the Matrix Revolutions soundtrack.
