Perhaps they have a very charming interrogator too. They don't need to just use compulsions and threats. What if their chief interrogator has a really high charisma, and maxed out diplomacy and sense motive. Does your player have any reason to conceal information? If they don't sense signs of subterfuge they might not treat her with hostility. Plus, a mundane sense motive roll lets them use Guidance to boost it.

As to how to conduct an interview, before-hand Augury could reveal the best strategy and answer questions like "Should we treat her with suspicion?" and "Can we trust her?"
