Question: Shadowpounce for players?
So, we are going on a gestalt campaing.
After a lot of thinking, i went with duskblade // conjurer /master specialist (teleporting magic mostly).
Iīm having lots of fun actually, because itīs no ubber broken and we can actually play as a party (ranger/arcane archer // wizard, barbarian // rouge, cleric//druid); because even if there are 2 wiz in the team we all have our rolls (we arenīt trying to break the game).
Ok, that was a lot of text and no question yet.
Talking with the DM, i learned about shadowpounce, and he is willing to let me use it if i can get it somehow.
What are the ways to get shadowpounce as a char?Three words that will save your ass from a lot of situations:

Re: Question: Shadowpounce for players?
Crinti Shadow Marauder is from Shining South, the brother of Unapproachable East. Other than that, Shadow Pounce cannot be attained without racial features (I suppose you could use Shapechange, Polymorph+Assume Supernatural Ability/Metamorphic Transfer - I don't remember any similars offhand though), although Sun School tactical feat from Complete Warrior gives you a similar benefit in one attack after teleport. I don't remember any others right off the bat, but I do have the distinct feeling that I forgot some psionic thing that allowed something of the sort.

Re: Question: Shadowpounce for players?
Crinti Shadow Marauder and Teflammar Shadowlord are the only PrC that get the Shadow Pounce that I'm aware of, and I've read every non-Eberron non-3rd party 3.5 book.
Shadow Pounce lets you make a full attack immediately after your Dimension Door (which is normally a Standard Action). Any psionic build can get access to Swift action Psionic Dimension Door, which is probably close to what you want. When you put them together, you can get multiple full attacks per round. The standard gestalt Nightcrawler build is something like Psion/Slayer//Cleric/Crusader 1/Teflammar Shadowlord/Ruby Knight Vindicator (which lets you burn Turn Undead uses to gain additional Swift Actions).
Or you can just Quicken the standard Dimension Door spell. And if you're not wedded to teleportation, there are a ton of ways to get free movement or Pounce. Either way, teleport/movement + full attack isn't that hard to get.

Re: Question: Shadowpounce for players?
You might want to check out the Blade of Orion from Dragonmarked, which eventually gets the ability to full-attack after using Dragonmark of Passage powers. You can also do this with the Quicken Dragonmark feat without taking the Blade of Orion class. I was planning a Warblade 15/Dragonmark Heir 4/Blade of Orion 1 which had something like 5 swift action Dimension leaps per day.

Re: Question: Shadowpounce for players?
Swift-action Dimension Door doesn't really help much. Remember, Dimension Door has the limit that once you use it, you can't take any more actions that turn, and there's nothing about Quicken Spell that removes that limitation.

Re: Question: Shadowpounce for players?
When combined with Shadowpounce, the point is that you can be standing next to somebody, Full Attack, then Swift Dim Door to the other side of them to activate the tele-pounce ability and Full Attack again. Or just do a normal charge-pounce and then bop over for a tele-pounce if you have normal Pounce as well.

Re: Question: Shadowpounce for players?
Sure, if you already have Shadow Pounce from some source, but I was referring to Person_Man's suggestion of using a swift DD instead of shadow pounce.

Re: Question: Shadowpounce for players?
Shadow Pounce triggers whenever you use an effect with the teleportation descriptor. There are a variety of ways to dimension door that don't have the "no more actions" restriction. Anklet of Translocation and Abrupt Jaunt I think come to mind. Two soulmelds: Blink Shirt and Cerulean Sandals could also be very interesting.
If you have access to ToB, then things start tilting towards the "way too fabulously cool to be legal" end of the pool. A 13th level SwordSage, for example, can Shadow Jaunt as a standard action, Shadow Step as a move action, and Shadow Blink as a swift action. Now add Ruby Knight Vindicator so you can convert all your turn attempts into recovering Shadow Blink and more swift actions than you can shake a Nightstick at, and you're cooking with thermonuclear napalm.
Check the "Shadow Pouncing" section in the ToB Build Compendium II:

Re: Question: Shadowpounce for players?
The problem with your interpretation is that the Shadowlord explicitly allows a full attack after any ability with the teleportation descriptor.
Dimension door is an ability with the teleportation descriptor. Thus, the Shadowlord's specific text overrides the general rule that you cannot perform actions after dimension door.

Re: Question: Shadowpounce for players?
Again, I'm not arguing the point for actual shadow pounce (or the Sun School feat, which works similarly): They're a more specific exception to the general rule that Dimension Door prevents actions, so they override it. All I'm saying is that the combination of quickened dimension door + regular full attack action (without shadow pounce) does not work, and is therefore not a substitute for actual shadow pounce.

Re: Question: Shadowpounce for players?
Ok, so i finally achieve getting my hands in Unapproachable East...
The big issue now would be this: unless I take 3 lvls in rouge (SA +2d6, 10 hide, 10 sil mov )and some levels in fighter, (dodge, mobility and spring attack? Buuuuuu!) i canīt take this prestige class, because i begun as a duskblade/conjurer after all, and all the multiclassing would kill the roleplaying we are trying to maintain
So how about an item that grants me Shadowpounce? Iīm not good at calculating costs (i seem to donīt fully understand something), so I would appreciate if someone could make the math for meThree words that will save your ass from a lot of situations:

Re: Question: Shadowpounce for players?
Telflammar Shadowlord is notoriously difficult to qualify for. Crinti Shadow Marauder (Shining South) is a bit easier, but still involves some fluff: must be Crinti (i.e. Drow) or have the official sanction of the nobolity of Dambrath.
There's no easy way to establish the cost of a class ability. Your best bet would be to find a similar spell that grants a similar effect... but to get a free full-attack action? That's a little like getting a continuous item of Greater Celerity or Timestop. You're pretty much talking about a major artifact at that point.Handbooks:
