Default [4e] Is the feat Mettle worth it

If you have Paragon tier fear Mettle and and area or close attack that targets fort or will misses you would still deal some damage on a miss, you don't take damage.

That pretty nice but how many monsters have area and close effects affects that target fort and will? Do you think this feat is worth it?

My best defenses are fort and will, but still...

Id say its a pretty crappy feat. Since it prevents only damage, and if you have a high fort you should have plenty of hp. If it prevented other effects, I would consider it, but this way no.

Not necessarily. He could have a high Str and a low Con.

I'd only take the feat (and its AC/Reflex based counterpart, Evasion) if there weren't any better options.
