Default Children of the Fairy Circle [PEACH]

    Fungal Scions

Fungal Scions are creatures born when a helpless embryo forms a symbiotic relationship with fungi. It may be that a pregnant mother dies, while its fetus lives for a short time, or a reptilian embryo survives after its shell is prematurely cracked. In rare cases, such a stranded embryo is covered in fungal spores, which surround it in an artificial womb. The fetus matures to adulthood within the fungal womb, and the two permanently merge in symbiosis. They look just like a normal creature of their kind, save that they are covered in fungal growth. The fungi even exists within the body, merged with the organs in inseparable symbiosis.

Fungal Scion is an inherited template that can be added to any living, corporeal creature.

    Size and Type
The creature’s type changes to plant. Do not recalculate Hit Dice, base attack bonus, or saves. Size is unchanged.

    Armor Class
An Fungal Scion’s body is covered in a spongy fungus that repels attacks. Its natural armor bonus increases by one.

    Attack
A Fungal Scion gains two slam attacks, which deal damage based on the scion’s size.

    Special Attacks

    Spore Cloud (Ex)
A Fungal Scion release masses of fast-growing spores from its body once every 1d6 rounds as a standard action. The spores automatically deal 1d2 points of damage to all creatures adjacent to the scion. They then penetrate the skin and grow, dealing an additional 1 point of damage each round for 1d6 rounds. At the end of this time, the victim is covered with a tangle of viny growths. (The vines are harmless and wither away in 1d4 minutes.) A successful DC 16 Heal check can remove the spores.

    Special Qualities

    Plant Traits
A Fungal Scion gains all traits of a plant, as follows:
    –Low-light vision.
–Immunity to all mind-affecting effects (charms, compulsions, phantasms, patterns, and morale effects).

    –Not subject to critical hits.
–Proficient with its natural weapons only.
    –Proficient with no armor.
–Plants breathe and eat, but do not sleep.

I don't know, it's just that fetuses have a good creepy potential.
