[BleachITP] Episode 24: Operation Rescue Dawn!!

Right, so, this thread is timewarped a bit. It's the morning of the operation. Lance would be back in Hueco Mundo/Las Noches by now, from his foray into Olympus. Alicia will still be there.

Basically, if your character was doing some last minute stuff in the SS thread, they're free to act here.

Luther

Luther's eyes snapped open. It was morning. He could vaguely feel the 2nd Division Captain's signature, and he seemed back to full. Good.

Luther stood and went to the restroom attached to his small suite. In short order, he was dressed in something a lot like this (albeit with different patches, and less rucksack type gear). He also had two belts of grenades across his chest. His helmet bore a rather unique set of goggles. In one ear was a compact communications device.

Luther Wilson was ready for war.

His left hand carried the last duffel bag. With that, he left for the designated meeting room.

Xavier

Xavier shows up, not wearing his usual labcoat. He's wearing the standard shinigami uniform. His Vice-Captain Armband is lower down on his arm than usual, showing the symbol of House Ryder stitched in in red. The glasses that he never wears are pushed up over his forehead, rather than in the front pocket of his usual labcoat.

Eirine

Eirine shows up, likely with Viatrix in tow, smiling as usual.

Satoshi

Satoshi had returned to 2nd Division HQ. He walked towards the center of the compound.

After a couple of minutes, he came to a door of metal set in stone. He opened the door, letting it first test his reiatsu. It opened to a set of stairs that went downwards into the ground.

After descending about 300 feet, he came to another door. This one had the reiatsu lock, as well as a regular keyed lock that he (of course) had the key for.

This room is bare concrete/seki seki stone. And the walls are lined with weaponry.

Satoshi had left his black haori in his office on the way to the weapons vault.

He stepped to one wall and grabbed an empty belt of pouches. He filled the pouches with various vials, orbs, and so forth. All of them either concoctions from 12th Division, or weaponized chemicals from 4th.

Throat irritants. Skin irritants. Eye irritants. Flashbangs. Explosives. Knockout gas. Acid. Paralyzing agents. And a few other sundry items for making life difficult for an opponent.

He moved on. A belt was strapped across his chest. Slowly and deliberately, he added a dozen razor sharp disks to the belt.

A knife and sheath were added to each bicep and calf. A tanto was sheathed at each hip.

Another belt was added across his chest. This contained another set of razor discs.

At the small of his back, he added a pair of escrima sticks.

He paused, thinking back to the American Reaper. He then grabbed another pair of tanto for the man, figured a couple of extra weapons couldn't hurt.

He closed the vault door, and ascended the stairs. He closed the door at the top of the stairs, and blurred away.

Luther

Satoshi reappeared next to Luther in the room.

"You are quick."

"Thank you. Here, I thought you might need some backup weapons if it got too close in."

The Captain handed the Gunnery Sergeant the pair of tanto.

"Thank you."

One was placed on the hip opposite his Purifier's holster. The other was placed at the small of his back.

"Now for the rest of our merry band to appear."

Marco arrives with Queen of Diamonds Karte, gripping his deck as though he's already ready to draw from the bottom. There's an aura of blue around him as though he's gorging on reishi. "We about ready?"

"As soon as the others arrive."

Viatrix

Vi is napping. Apparently, anyway. Her blanket is white today, and she's wearing a white T-shirt with red bordering the collar and the ends of her sleeves, and a pair of fitting red pants/slacks with two white stripes on either side. She's actually kind of cute while she sleeps.

Aloysius walks in, carrying nothing but himself. We're ready.

Wha' Mordwaffe said.

Damara

Damara, having already completed his preparations, shunpos to the appointed meeting place, and walks in. His appearance is immaculate, and his face is devoid of emotion. He moves to a corner and clasps his hands behind his back, facing the others in the room.

Godmodded Carmen shows up as I have permission.

Eirine lightly pushes her floating sister on a collision course towards Xavier.

Viatrix

Viatrix topples over and onto Xavier, letting out a muffled, weak scream. Somehow, Xavier ends up getting a close-up view of Vi's tattoo on her lower back. It is a fairly detailed blue butterfly. He only gets about a seconds worth, though, as Vi pulls up, blushing heavily. Merumeru...

"...You saw it, pay up."

Luther

"It looks like everyone is here. Right. So, again, here's our force disposition. Myself, Aloysius, and Carmen go after Lance. Marco, Xavier, Damara, and Satoshi go after Alicia. Hm. Change of plans. Damara goes with my group; the others can take care of themselves."

He sets the duffel bag on the table, withdrawing 8 communication devices.

"Everyone, please take one; I'm already wearing on. Viatrix, Eirine, you will need to keep your eyes and ears open. We're counting on you for emergency support and extraction."

He pauses for a moment, making sure everyone has understood so far.

"My team will be Team Alpha. Chain of command is as follows: Myself, Carmen, Damara, Aloysius. Team Beta chain of command is: Satoshi, Xavier, Marco. If at any time the current team lead asks for a team extraction, I need you to do so immediately, Viatrix. If they're calling for extraction, lives are in danger. If anyone is hurt badly enough, either call for your own extraction, or team lead will call for extraction. We want to rescue them, but if we all die in the process, no one has been helped. There will be no arguments. If team lead calls for extraction, it happens. Period. Moving on. We're going to be deposited right outside the walls. I'll bust us in through the walls. Teams Alpha and Beta split, head for their objectives. Viatrix has us on com and butterfly surveillance. Once your objective is achieved, she pulls the team in, objective is kept in her pocket dimension, that team joins the other. Once both objectives are retrieved, we pull back to Soul Society."

He looks around.

"Questions?"

None.

Aloysius takes a communication device and puts it on.

Xavier

Xavier writes her a check, on official House Ryder stationary or whatever. I'm just inventing new House Ryder things.

No questions. He says, not even Viatrix's tramp stamp could break his focus on the task at hand.

Damara

Damara remains silent and impassive as the grid work and chain of command is set for the rescue mission. He nods his acceptance as he is given a different team, and silently takes a communication device when prompted, affixing it to his head.

"All is clear to me."

Vi raises an eyebrow, letting the check disappear into her pocket dimension. Merumeru...

"No questions..."

(OOC:I think we can get things mostly rolling. We'll hop into the pocket dimension at least.)

"Viatrix. Phase 1; please get us all into your pocket dimension."

Eirine will go in first, and as standard procedure will throw a tarp over all of Viatrix's... interesting belongings.

Vi opens a portal, indeed. Merumeru...

"Watch your head, keep your hands inside of the vehicle at all times, and don't mind the lack of features."

Damara

Damara enters the space carefully, looking around with a mixture of curiosity and interest. His hands remain clasped behind his back, and he moves a distance from the entrance before turning and facing the rest of the rescue group.

Xavier and Carmen

Xavier and Carmen both enter the pocket dimension.

Xavier is quiet, still looking to be in a bad mood. Carmen is in awe of the place. Or something.

Marco and Karte are used to it from their liberation, and silently await deployment.

Aloysius is inside the pocket space.

Viatrix

Vi steps in after herding the last of the people in, and closes the portal. Merumeru...

"All right... Let's get this thing moving. Hurry it up, I don't have all day to spend with you clowns..." She opens up a portal to Hueco Mundo, just outside of the dome.

Marco is the first to step out. "Blastin' time?"

Xavier is next, then Eirine, followed soon by Carmen.

Damara

Damara comes next, loosening his sword in his sheath. Instead of the sedate behavior he displayed in the Soul Society, he is now clearly on edge, looking around constantly with a grim expression. He doesn't let his guard down, even for a second.

Aloysius steps out, whistling.

Marco is the first to step out. "Blastin' time?"

Luther

"Allow me. Also, I'd recommend everyone release now, at least your first release, if not bankai."

He lifts the barrel of his assault rifle.

DAKKA DAKKA DAKKA!

A 10-foot arch is quickly traced in the stone by his explosive bullets.

BOOM!

A grenade blows the archway open.

"Alpha Team, move! Beta Team, move!"

Glancing at his watch, Luther led his team down one corridor.

Satoshi

"Terrify the wicked people, Kurai Kishi!"

Satoshi kept his speed down enough to allow Xavier and Marco to keep up. Barely.

"I think I have a trace on her. Let's go. Stay frosty."

Viatrix

Vi sits back in the getaway car pocket dimension. However, each team will notice a number of void butterflies following after. In the pocket dimension, Vi is sitting upside down watching the two groups over several screens, and at several angles, watching out for guards or the such.
