    Default Invisible Spell tactics

I was wondering what are some of the more favorite tactics using Invisible Spell.

I like using invisible prismatic walls, but that takes quite a few levels.

Theres always greater invisibility, and invisible solid fog/any type of fog. Nice way to stay invisible despite true seeing.

Invisible monster summons for a quick and easy buff for them.

You can always attack it to blast spells, but I figure unless your somehow silencing them too, your gonna be noticed.

I was wondering what others people like to use.

If you're worried about true seeing, you could always try invisible invisibility plus regular invisibility.

Invisible Solid Fog is great aginst people toting True Seeing around. Lock them and pelt them with rays, while they see fog. Bonus points if you combine it with skill tricks to avoid spellcraft.

In two seconds I will hit the ground
A moment stretched out over years
And my eyes will flicker and then something has changed
An empty cage, a crimson bud, a street of blood
A city rose sprung out to greet the rain

    Cityscape.

Its clearly designed for hiding blasty spells. But its clearly hilarious when applied to other things.

an invisible invisibility spell would make you visible. Someone with true seeing would see through both spell effects, making you visible. seems like a waste of spell slots.

Yeah, this. "Suddenly, everyone in the room catches fire!" is always fun.

Don't forget to toss in Deceptive Spell, also from Cityscape, to hide the origin.
If you need to keep quiet, depending on what level the gratuitous abuse is, go with superior invisibility from the Spell Compendium, which will mask whatever sounds you make (not to mention odors, just in case). Even if they see you, you can just peek out of some tiny peephole, while sending invisble blasts from another direction. Since you want the deceptive effect to be enhanced, go with anything that is a cone to support that.
Or you could go with Still and Silent Spell, but those are going to kill your spell level. If you have a way to get feats to burn, (and a way to be dragonblooded, which is not that hard to manage), you can stack in Practical Metamagic from Races of the Dragon to bring the spell level back to normal. That is going to be 8 or 9 feats though, so you will need either high level or some feat trick to pull it off. (Invisible Spell, Deceptive Spell, Still Spell, Silent Spell, Practical Metamagic x 3, and Rapid Metamagic so you do not take full round actions for it.) Then you just stand around, scratch randomly, and blow stuff up down the block from the other direction. At that point, does it matter what you cast?

This reminds me of Hero System. There's a power you can get that's basically invisible invisibility. So they can see you, but they can't target you for attacks, because you're invisible. But they can see you, so they try to target you, but they can't because you're invisible. But they can see you, so...

    You see where this goes.

Invisible True Creation is a favorite of mine. Combine it with Invisible Fabricate and you can have an army of naturally invisible constructs.

Why go stupid, when you can also go nasty:

    Invisible Blade Barrier.
Or for that matter, all kinds of Invisible walls.

    Invisible Elemental Swarm

    Invisible Stinking Cloud.

Or Invisible Cloudkill. Silent, but deadly. ^^

True Resurrection creates a new body for the target creature. If that can be considered an effect of the spell, then it appears to the naked eye as though the spell had not been cast.

Me: I'd get the paladin to help, but we might end up with a kid that believes in fairy tales.
DM: aye, and it's not like she's been saved by a mysterious little girl and a band of real live puppets from a bad man and worse step-sister to go live with the faries in the happy land.
Me: Yeah, a knight in shining armour might just bring her over the edge.
