    Default Vampires and tatoos

Say you had tatoos of holy symbols covering your body and a vampire killed you via energy drain, would the symbols burn your skin off, or would your tatoos become unholy symbols?

RAW in D&D 3.5 Holy symbols have to be 'strongly presented' to have an effect on vampires. Therefore, your tattoo holy symbol would have no effect on you unless you strongly presented it to yourself.

optimization is like salt. a pinch here and there can't hurt, but too much will spoil everything.

    I have salty tastes.

Especially if you are a female of the species and are. . .erm, strongly presenting.

Its a good thing you don't show up in mirrors. I wonder how you would do this even if u wanted to. What would the effects be?

You would recoil from yourself and keep yourself at bay.

Actually, by RAW, I believe you would have to walk on your hands at all times to prevent injury.

    By. RAW.

Tattooed on your palm, and you slap yourself. I would say that is strongly presented.

*The Fighter uses the vampire's own tattooed hands to slap it.*

You could rule that tattoos are foreign matter the body can't expel, and that as soon as you're a vampire they fast heal away.
