Looking for a Word ...

Hey everyone, I'm trying to come up with a word for a Base Class I'm working on. It needs to be a word to define someone who uses projectile-based weapons to shoot people. However, the word itself needs to be vague so that it applies to a wide variety of ranged weapons, from guns to cannons to thrown weapons to bows.

Anyone have any ideas?

Marksman is appropriately broad I think. However, it's difficult to apply that to artillery and even machine guns.

'Shooter' is the broadest I can get, even if that doesn't seem to apply to ranged weapons.

Deadeye seems to fit nicely too me (like green suggested). It encompasses thrown weapons, bows, guns, and even artillery (though to be a deadeye with artillery you have to be really good).

But in D&D the suffix means much more than diviner. When you here someone talk about a pyromancer, the most likely situation is not someone who sees the future using flames. While the more proper use is for those that see, it is also defined as those that do. This is mostly tied to the sectioining of casters, and in that regard the use of ballistomancer is certainly not incorrect.
