Made. Of. Win! Loved Elan's wishful thinking and the rain check, but Macebook is the funniest thing as of late.

Re: OOTS #739 - The Discussion Thread
Oh boy. This is going to be awkward, isn't it?
And to think, he could have just said, "hey, those are my friends!" and everything would be fine.
Edit: to the post above me, Durkon thinks Elan and Haley are prisoners under armed guard, and is now undertaking to break them out.Last edited by Shale; 2010-07-30 at 04:19 PM.

LOL!
I really like it how Durkon and Malack get along despite their cultural differences!Alamryn Kven, a druid who tries very hard not to be useless.
Celesta Halla, a fearless barbarian.
Jheren Falconer, a drifter ranger.

Heh, nice! Never got into Facebook, but I really like that punchline. More Durkon and Malack interaction, and Elan's JD-esque fantasy were great, too.

That's probably the most use, and certainly the best, that anyone's ever gotten from the dwarven ability to detect new construction.

Re: OOTS #739 - The Discussion Thread
The title makes me think of Randy Milholland's Fluffmodeus. "Hello new friend!"
I love the Macebook idea. Nice to see Paladins of Marduk can smack dragons. And is there significance to his next couple of updates? Changing location, followed by joining "Need a Res"...

Re: OOTS #739 - The Discussion Thread
The words "Order of the stick" are obscuring the speech bubble, which have never happened before.
Also, why "mace"?

Re: OOTS #739 - The Discussion Thread
Hah, I'd not noticed that! It made me go to my shelf, pick out my Yamara anthology and try to look up the Great Secret of the dwarven folk... See, in red box D&D (and probably earlier) dwarves had the ability to detect sloping corridors. They were the only race/class that could detect sloping corridors. Manui and Adams took this to its logical conclusion and wrote a couple of strips where other characters were astonished at the dwarvish ability to use that most mystical of tools, the inclined plane, to make huge boulders roll onto their enemies!
