Re: GITP Monster Competition Voting Thread: Through the Looking Glass
Well, I really liked the idea behind the Forgotten Reflection, but it wasn't finished, so...
I vote for the Chiralite. I liked the back-story and although I've always thought bouncing attacks, while cool, brings angles and, subsequently, trigonometry into the game (if you want it to be truly realistic), I still liked the idea.Last edited by Zom B; 2010-08-22 at 12:03 PM.

I love the Dark Reflection. Count me for it.
Et tu, Brute?
My home-brewed bootleg Homebrew
I tried to be reasonable and nice; but everybody wouldn't quit trying to turn every spellcaster into a Tier 1.

Re: GITP Monster Competition Voting Thread: Through the Looking Glass
I voted for Dark Reflection but I also really liked the Girl In the Mirror (despite some issues) and the Chiralites.
DebbyP.E.A.C.H. Please Evaluate And Critique Honestly. Being nicer and kinder doesn't hurt either. Note I generally only critique 3.5 and Pathfinder material.
Please, please, please when using non-core material, cite to the books. There are too many books to wade through to find the one with the feat, special ability or spell you use.

Re: GITP Monster Competition Voting Thread: Through the Looking Glass
Chiralite: Interesting mechanics, pondering.
Dark Reflection: Would help if you explained their methods a little bit more... if they are driven solely by revenge, then I wouldn't expect them to stay in one place long unless they were somehow plotting... or if they had killed all their specific targets and were waiting for news of people using the devices that they despise. I also like the FOCUSED evil they have to them...
Girl In the Mirror: Your description is poorly phrased, since it assumes actions on the part of the PC(s). "Weapon" should probably be "Bludgeoning" or perhaps "Bludgeoning, Piercing, and Slashing" (like a bite attack). A very interesting concept... the balloon makes it a bit of an anachronism for D&D, but it would do very well in more high magitech settings or if converted to d20 modern. You probably need to specify the special mirror as indestructible... or would breaking it just make it impossible to appease them?
Mirror Dragon: Lacked the depth of fluff I like to see in a True Dragon.
Reflector of the Infinite : Stat-block didn't match the text, and the fact it could be cheesed for Int boosts limited only by time available leads me to think this wasn't really complete... something I think the author should remedy then post in its own thread.
On balance I think I will go with the most interesting concept, rather than the most perfect execution.

Re: GITP Monster Competition Voting Thread: Through the Looking Glass
Yeah, I really like the poll bringing the community in more than they've been in this in the past.
Though with the non-poll system, every vote usually had some explanation with it, which was really nice because it let us know what was really cool or not so great about our monsters.
