Magical Darkness
i have a question about the darkness spell and effects like it,
how far can people actually see within a darkness spell? the spell states that creatures gain 20% miss chance because they are obscured so obviously people can see at least 5 feet in front of themselves and since low light and darkvision dont work in magical darkness there is a set distance all players can see, but how far is that exactly?

Re: Magical Darkness
There's no distance limit. Everything within the darkness simply has concealment.

Re: Magical Darkness
Darkvision and Low-Light Vision work normally in a Darkness (and even Deeper Darkness) spell, but they also suffer the miss chance. How far you can see isn't really influenced by Darkness spells.
The Darkness spells were seriously nerfed in 3.5. if you want the real thing, get access to the Blacklight spell. This spell is still the good old TOTAL DARKNESS (but not for you, hehe). Be a Fighter/Wizard/Eldritch Knight with Enlarge Person and a Spiked Chain and create some havoc. The Countess of Mispelling hath returned !__________________________________________________ _________Behold my magnetoresistance !

Re: Magical Darkness
Only problem with that, is the Blacklight spell was a 3.0 creation.
