What monster is this?
So, I have a visual stuck in my mind, a picture of a monster, but try as I might I can't think of what the monster's called or where I saw it. I *think* it's from a D&D sourcebook, since I don't know where else I'd see a drawing of a monster, though I suppose in theory it could be from a M:tG card or something. I've flipped through all my monster manuals to no avail, so I'm turning to this forum as an act of desperation.
It's a reptilian or draconic humanoid, very thin of body and face. In place of arms, it has tentacles (4, IIRC) and I think it was wearing robes.
Does this wring any bells for anyone? I can picture it in my mind, but have no idea where I saw it, and I want to use the visuals for a homebrewed monster.
Thanks in advance.

Sounds like a Yuan-Ti Anathema:

Re: What monster is this?
Afraid not. *sigh*
I swear, I've looked through every 3.5, 4.0, and Pathfinder book. I must be dreaming it.
Or it's not from D&D...

Re: What monster is this?
Well, with some crude photoshop I've rendered my mental image from the chopped up bits of a few other monsters.
Spoiler
Now does anyone want to tell me what the @#$@!$% this is?
If not, I might just clean up the photoshop and use this for my players.

Re: What monster is this?
Well, you aren't imagining it, because I KNOW I've seen something like that before. Sadly, I couldn't tell you what it is.

Re: What monster is this?
It wouldn't be Demogorgon, I assume? He's mostly reptilian, but I assume you'd have mentioned his quite distinctive heads.

Re: What monster is this?
I'd google to look around, but well to be honest, there's no way in hell I'm typing in anything involving "Tentacles" in google, I value the last shreds of my sanity to much for that. ^^;
But seriously that photoshop doesn't look half bad, cleaning it up and using that isn't a bad idea.

Re: What monster is this?
Is anyone else struck by the sudden realization that we have way too many monsters?

Re: What monster is this?
I think you mean we don't have enough monsters, (you made a small typo).
After looking through every single book I have on Dnd, if it's not Demogorgon I can only assume a very cultured Aboleth wearing a robe.

Re: What monster is this?
Could this be something from Arcana Unearthed/Evolved? There's this race of gaunt draconic humanoids called Mojh that your photoshopped pic reminded me of. They don't have tentacles but maybe the picture you remember is a variant or a template or something?
This. Also, D&D monster designers are way too much into tentacles.

Re: What monster is this?
Tentacles are the best things that ever happened to my D&D character! Illithids...
Oh, huh. That user you linked has the same date of birth as me. Neat.
The closest thing I can think of that looks like that (awesome) photoshopped picture is a Yuan-TI Anathema and someone else got that. Sorry, pal.Cornelius loves Illithids. Illithids love Cornelius. Therefore, all Illithids love toast and ice cubes. Yup.
Username, and avatar, inspired by my favorite D&D character, an insane illithid-loving cultist sorcerer! He is cool. He has a dead illithid larvae in his brain! But that's okay. It's alive in his soul.

Re: What monster is this?
Is it Froghemoth?
Thin of body and face reminds me of the Arcane from Spelljammer:
