Re: Heliomance's Blasphemously, Trend-Destroyingly Unalliterative Random Banter #167
Only electronics get names in my house. I used to name things in the network as WWII leaders. My mother was not amused that time. Afterwards I stick with Literary allusions that sometimes go over my parents heads and sometimes don't. My Wii is named [MyNAME] Jr. and that's about it. My Piano is Claudius Vivancus Poncelet I but that's just the mnemonic I have so that I remember its model.
Do plushies count toward named things or is that just expected?

Well, I don't name a lot of things because the right name never really presents itself. But Loafer's Glory is the ideal name for my home.
My door says 'Day-sleeper, please do not knock. No soliciting at any time.' There is a sign above it that says 'If you lived here, you'd be home by now.'

Well, there's BattleTech/MechWarrior, although I don't really know much about either.

Re: Heliomance's Blasphemously, Trend-Destroyingly Unalliterative Random Banter #167
Before I go to bed, I just noticed something. The big footprint icon at the top of the website has a little foot next to it now. A small part of me wants to think our beloved Giant has a kid now, and he's hinting at the news with that. Or it's just a logo change. Either or.
Anyway, keep the discussion going about Mecha DND style games. I want to wake up to atleast two suggestions. Please and thank you, I'll be eternally grateful

That's always been there. It's to put the "giant" footstep in perspective.
A potent relic of the past. 'Tis said the wearer commands the wisdom of kings, and can see the unseeable.
Like the grue lurking in your bedroom waiting for you to fall asleep.
But perhaps some things are better left unseen...

That's always been there. In fact, the file was last modified in 2006 (and then it was probably a server modification, not an art modification, making it even older).

Re: Heliomance's Blasphemously, Trend-Destroyingly Unalliterative Random Banter #167
Uh? From what I know about how it is here in Sweden, the only requirement is a 5000 kr (IIRC) thicker wallet (and that you own a car to put it on, but that's assumed).
You realise that there is a spoiler-button, right?

I'm not especially ill any longer, but still far from well. I can feel hunger, and that is a good sign. I would prefer that that good sign didn't wake me up at half past five in the morning, though. I would also like all remaining viruses to leave my muscles ASAP. They currently have the contracting power of jelly, and that makes me sluggish. I don't like that.Clouddreamer Teddy by me, high above the world, far beyond its matters...

I normally type the tags out. I type fast enough that most of the time it's faster than going to find the right button.

Re: Heliomance's Blasphemously, Trend-Destroyingly Unalliterative Random Banter #167
You mean a mech MMO like this one?
I think what you want is an MMO version of Mechwarrior. Gods know I do. No silly RPG stats and level ups - just pure skill. Adopt Eve's "once it's gone, it's gone" approach to mechs, add a mining and production side and then send me a cheque once the goldmine opens.

Annoying? It's much worse than annoying. I want to take AP Computer Science one year before I'm supposed to be allowed to, dammit!
You can never have too many medieval fantasy MMOs! Except when they're all rip-offs of WoW.

I'm not clear what's wrong with MechWarrior, then.
