PF Chess Set Constructs

So, I was reading the Demotivator thread, and I came across an awesome set of pictures that inspired me to do a little creation.

I only have 2 pieces of the chess set done so far, The Pawn and The Knight, but I would like to display them and see what you guys think, as well as give me an appropriate CR rating for each piece solo(The Knight and Mount should be included together for this).

Same here, these give some pretty nice ideas. Kinda reminds me of homestuck's chess armies of the battlefield. Definately keeping an eye on this.

Go right ahead, I'm posting the pieces slowly mostly because I can't find where my original 3.0 set was stored. So I have to rebuild from scratch.

My player's looted the designs for the chess set from a wizard they killed, then used them to invent a new bloodless awesome bloodsport with them. Fun Times

A Wizard did it.

In all seriousness though, the class levels only apply when under the leadership of the King Chess Piece, rest of the time they are essentially extremely watered down golems that wield weaponry.

You could say they cast as a 4th level cleric instead. That would also let you customize their HD and such a bit more, and would disallow leveling up. If you really want to make it fluffy you could require a real cleric to recharge the bishop's spells by expending his own, as the bishop can't pray. Or maybe say that his spell list is fixed and unchangeable upon creation, or become SLAs or etc.

As was pointed out to me, the pieces have already been statted out by WOTC, in one of the recent dragon magazines....but...i cant remember which...huh. It was recent though....

Yes, chess constructs were statted up in Dragon 358.

They had some neat abilities and limitations, such as:

-En passant - Pawns can move double their speed in the first round.
-Forward Motion - Pawns may only move toward an opponent in a straight line, but can not be forcefully moved by any means.
-Diagonal Devotion - Bishops move diagonally without speed reduction, and move non-diagonally with speed reduction.
-Queens get Pounce, Skirmish, and can move any direction without speed reduction.
-Castling - Kings can teleport a Rook to an adjacent square. Also, they're duskblades. And perhaps a precedent for allowing arcane channeling to work with SLAs?
