LOL! Perfect! Also, damn, I'm up late as it is, I don't think I can justify staying up for another half hour.

Re: OOTS #832 - The Discussion Thread
Hmm, an interestingly straightforward answer to the Tsukiko question. I look forward to Redcloak showing his working in 833.
And as evil and frighting as Xykon can be, I've missed his dialogue."They couldn't know that the points from the mainline to the siding were frozen, and the signal should have been set at 'DANGER', but snow had forced it down."

Re: OOTS #832 - The Discussion Thread
So I guess Redcloak isn't going to try lying about his hand in Tsukiko's death.
Wonder how Xykon will react.Avatar by Honest Tiefling

Re: OOTS #832 - The Discussion Thread
I really expected Redcloak to try and subvert those kind of questions. This should be interesting. I can't wait to see how he talks his way out of this one.

Re: OOTS #832 - The Discussion Thread
Well, now we get to see what particular lie or evasion RC wants to use now.
Somehow I doubt his next word will be "...Because she find out my secret plan to manipulate you."
Also, unless Xykon is much better actor they we have seen before, this kind of rules out the "he was spying on them the whole time" speculations...

Re: OOTS #832 - The Discussion Thread
Didn't see that one coming.
Got to say, I am wondering what reason he's going to give. Maybe that she meant to use the phylactery to her little love toy (do I use a "just joking smiley" or a "eww, why did I even think of that? and I'm sick to my stomach" smiley?)

Re: OOTS #832 - The Discussion Thread
I'm thinking Redcloak could try and turn this around "Tsukiko was setting to betray you" kinda thing. Or just be honest(ish) and say he punished her for trespassing into his rooms and suspected treachery...he doesn't need to point out that he knows it was treachery on Xykon's behalf.

Re: OOTS #832 - The Discussion Thread
Ooh, way to brazen it out, Redcloak!
Seriously, though, Redcloak has some major points with Xykon right now for bringing back the phylactery...even if Redcloak doesn't come up with a really good lie for why he killed her (though he probably will), Xykon will probably not be super-angry.

Re: OOTS #832 - The Discussion Thread
I suspect that this is when the ritual half that RC picked up off the floor becomes relevant ...
Spoilersometimes, the best defense is a good offense -- accusing Tsukiko of trying to usurp RC by stealing his half of the ritual to go with the half Xykon gave her will put Xykon on the defensive, distracting him from pursuing Tsukiko's death, without RC actually accusing Xykon of anything ...Last edited by Tom Lehmann; 2012-01-31 at 01:37 AM.

Re: OOTS #832 - The Discussion Thread
wow.....that actually extremely clever of redcloak. There arethree posible reactions Xykon could have to hearing a (mostly) truthful recounting of Tsukiko's death. He could be angry, he could impressed, or he could be amused. only one of those options has any real negative implications for Redcloak, and even anger is likely to tempered somewhat by the other two. Redcloak is likely to survive this.
The purpose of taking this gamble appears to be to distract from the whole "i found your phylactery, please don't examine in too great a detail" thing. By putting this thing out in front for Xykon to focus on, he's MUCH less likely to ask awkward questions about the phylactery in general.
Just my angle on it. :)
