Important Note for Villains

Conflict is great! It's the heart of any story, and there isn't much to roleplay without it. However, as a player to player courtesy, please check in with the players who are active at any given time before launching an attack. Not everyone wants to roleplay combat scenes, and sometimes there are other things going on that players don't want to interrupt for a random fight. Either a PM/IM to players, a short post in thread to say (Mind if I introduce a villain here?) or a longer post in the OOC thread if it's a larger plot is appreciated.

We have no banner. You, you, you, and you in the back that never gets to post because s/he is usually ignored...FIND AN AVATARIST AND SEND HIM/HER THIS WAY. Heck, even if someone here is semi-good with photoshop so he can combine our avatars into a cheesy simple banner... That'll be fine too.

Carrie will lead her out to the entrance and may accompany her on the lift-pod if she wants her to.

Mattie seems happy to go on her way though she stops before stepping into the lift-pod.

"So, we didn't really set a price for this beyond the down payment. It was easier then I thought, but still you say that was a demonic veil I just pushed through, I think another 50 gold should do fine."

100 gold for a scrying spell may seem cheap to some, but Mattie is more used to charging for Tarot and other fortune telling services. She only knows it would take several months to earn that much gold normally.

Carrie eagerly hands her the gold.

"My Pleasure. And if you ever need my services again let me know."

She will hand Carrie a card with a phone number on it before stepping into the pod and leaving.

And with that, Carrie heads back to the room they just used.

Kyne nods and waits by Sioda, already prepared.

"Well, let's get moving," Patty declares, after smacking her player for forgetting to post for so long.


And smacking Beans for not putting a link to the new thread in the old one.

Sioda is prepared as well; she hands Carrie a smallish pack, which the goddess tucks behind her wing.
I can 'port us to Inside if that works best, but if we do that, where should I put us exactly?

Another won campaign against the Federation, more time with my more-than-likely changed family among evil-hunters. Elendro then flares his Exalted Seraph wings on and off, and removes his helmet. Riaas, I introduce you to HALO. Good place, romanticism galore.
From the water-shielded gate, steps a human female in armor looking like Elendro's. She looks around, and then says It looks nice.
Come in, guys.
5 other people in matching armors enter the base, and they all start heading to the state rooms. Once they get there, they start unpacking whatever is in their extradimensional bags.

[The Librarian]

Vallasito can be seen walking down the hall by Elendro and his compatriots, wearing his usual long navy blue trench coat, only this time it is open revealing the Battlemage Armor he is wearing, stained recently with blood or a sickly purple hue. With him are four other individuals: two of them Sangheili Shieldbearers, striding closely behind him; an Arcane Elf in a small VS Suit carrying a crate in its claw-like hands, and lastly a Arcane Elf, clearly female with light orchid colored hair wearing a light blue trench coat and armor following closely beside Vallasito.

Vallasito nods to Ellendro as he passes by him and his group. He appears to be in a bit of a hurry.

Elendro makes a small hand wave as the group is entering the state rooms.

This is your room?
Yup. Crazy times, they were. Get your stuff unpacked. I'm pretty sure my supply of KASEISF SI clothes aren't charlie foxtrot. After I hit the holoroom, I'm going down for zulu bravo steaks.

Guess Vallasito didn't want to talk to Tobias after all. Well, some of my other characters are wandering around the base.

((Nah, Vallasito was merely listening in briefly))

Anyone with the ability to sense even the faintest resonance of magic will take note to a powerful aura of magical energy that is originating from Vallasito group from just about anywhere in the base.

Something feels particularly ominous about this magical aura though.

Tobias notices the energy and decides to go check it out.

Tobias will notice the previously mentioned group moving towards the HALO Aerial Base. The two Sangheili Shieldbearers appear to be a little on edge, shifting there gaze about their surroundings as they follow Vallasito.

OOC: Sangheili? Like, Halo's Covenant's Elites?

The fox-eyed druid clears his throat loudly. Who the hell are you lot and what are you doing in my base?

[The Librarian]

OOC: You are correct. They are Halo Elites. I like using the term Sangheili though.

The group stops in it racks at the moment they hear Tobias' booming voice. The two Shieldbearers turn as if prepared for a fight, raising their now active hardlight shields, with Plasma Rifles pointed at the Druid

Just as they raise their shields Vallasito raises his voice to the group and Tobias.
Stay your weapons Val'ras, Zhar'thul. He is an ally of mine.
The two Sangheili lower their weapons almost instantly to hearing his command. Vallasito steps forward to meet Tobias' gaze.
And these people are here on my request Tobias. I assure you, they mean HALO no harm.

That doesn't sound very efficient to me. What if the person watches gets up and goes to the bathroom? And how would I know who to scry, or when? She sits back. And there is the problem of casting the scry spell. Since, you know, I don't know how.

He starts a little. She doesn't know magic?

Wait... no, maybe not. While it's near unheard of for someone from his planet to not know at least a little magic, he has to continually remind himself that other planets work differently, and that magic was rare on hers.

"I can cast it, Ma'am. I'm not much of a mage, but I know enough for the occasional useful spell. Though you know, you're in the Nexus now. You could learn magic too now. Ever thought about it?"

Tobias glares back at Vallasito, not happy with this. I must have missed the memo where you notified me of your intent to bring armed and armored people into my base. He points at the elf in the VS Suit, then at the other elf. You: set the crate down. You: open it and then put both of your hands on the wall. Now!

The guy in the VS Suit pokes his head out looking at Vallasito for approval. Vallasito shakes his head.
I'm sorry I had not properly informed you of the recent developments between my homeworld and my Sangheili bretheren Tobias, but this is a matter that could not wait.
Vallasito calmly steps forward to Tobias, along with the young woman striding up behind Vallasito, a very worried look on her face.
I'm also afraid I can't let you view the...artifact. At least not in confined area like this. If you will follow me to the Aerial Base I can show what this is and explain everything.

Well. Tobias has now established that there are armed warriors inside his base who do not obey his orders and are completely loyal to someone he doesn't know very well. And now Vallasito wants him to come to the airbase, where Tobias knows the Sanghelli spaceships can freely target him with overwhelming firepower. This is either the work of a naive fool who doesn't understand the seriousness of his insubordination... or a coup attempt. Both require immediate... education, but the possibility of a coup against him means that Tobias can not afford to be gentle. As soon as Vallasito approaches, the fox-eyed Commander tries to punch him in the face, creating walls of fire in front of and behind the group as well as shouting furiously.
Drop your ******* weapons and get on the floor or I will kill every last Godsdamned one of you!

[The Librarian]

((Ummm...Not the intended result))

Vallasito stares at Tobias as he notices his growing rage. He senses the quickly untamed fury in his mind as he swings his fist at him. It is almost as if time slows to a near halt as he looks at him. All the other individuals hesitate to react.

The Shieldbearers have their shields raised to protect the crate and its contents. The woman in a futile effort tries to dash forward to stop the fight, dropping the PDA in her hand. Vallasito simply smirks at the Fox-Druid as his punches closes into his chest, projecting but one statement to his mind before reacting.
Whatever you believe is happening, your rash actions will solve nothing of this coming storm.

He then shouts with voice only equal to Tobias' just as his fist is about to connect.
Arcane Art Lvl 7: Spacial Distortion
Tobias should he not react to this quick enough will feel his fist only briefly make contact with Vallasito's chest only to instantly feeling as if it is hitting nothing but a void.
Vallasito lifts his other hand to the Sangheili's and the engineer in the Civilian Grade VS Suit.
I wish I didn't have to risk doing this but...Arcane Art Lvl 6: Dimension Gate Shift.
The group except for Vallasito and the young lady disappear behind moving wall of white light that envelops and transports them away leaving no trace.

Vallasito and the girl then step back two paces from Tobias before continuing.
Now unless you wanna throw another punch at me, allow me to properly explain to use the significance of that artifact.

Rigel frowns. “That's a horrible thing to say about yourself, Miss Trixi, and I'm sure it's entirely untrue. And anyone can learn magic!” Which may well be true on his planet since not learning magic is practically a death sentence given the system the world works with. “Granted, it isn't exactly easy, but it can be done. My question is why haven't you tried? I would think that appearing in a place like this would be rather excitingly different.”
