Default [PF] Please help me homebrew a 'Hexslinger' PrC

So, playgrounders, I'm looking for some help. I'd like to play a Sorcerer/Gunslinger type character, but unfortunately Pathfinder doesn't have any support for such a combination. My DM has indicated openness to a homebrew Gunslinger/Sorcerer PrC. Unfortunately, my homebrew skills are somewhat lacking, so I could really use your help in creating a suitable class for our game.

My thoughts on the mechanics, so far, would be to connect the "Grit" feature and the Spellcasting from the Sorcerer in some way - perhaps allowing the character to use grit to apply metamagic to a spell? And I suspect imbuing the gun with spells would be desirable as well. I would like to advance, to some degree, the "Deeds" feature, and I'd like to advance the "Bloodline" feature as well, maybe, though obviously at a reduced rate. I'm not sure to what extent I should advance them, however, especially since I would like to include features that bring the classes together.

As far as the chassis goes, I'm debating between low and medium BAB, the accompanying d6 and d8 Hit Dice, and which two saves should be good saves: Will and Ref, or Will and Fort? Skills I think can stay at 4+Int, and I intend for the class to be full casting. I could also go for one lost caster level, as long as the class may be entered with only one level of Gunslinger, but I'd like the class to allow a character to get ninth level spells, if they so choose.

So, can you help me, Playground? I'm open to any and all suggestions.

Edit: Ok, so I've spoken again to my DM, and the chassis looks to be as follows:

The Hexslinger (Pending a better name)

    Hit Die: d6

    Class Skills:

    Skill Points Each Level: 4+Int

The chasis is decent if you want full casting otherwise a d8 for maybe a caster level, however there are a few issues you have going on here. Gunslinger uses their wisdom modifier to determine the maximum amount of grit to use for deeds. Sorcerer is a charisma based casting class. These two aren't usually found together. There are feats that could increase grit but feats are precious. You would need some sort of ability to reconcile this.
Also you need to know what you want this class to do and what are you willing to give up in which the other two maybe better in? I could see this class going a couple of different ways. It could be an outright blaster, a magical imbuer/"crafter", or a self buff ranged specialist.

Wiki-pedia-like cross-indexing to a contest full of gun PrCs (none of which involved the PF Gunslinger).

Well, you could use the Arcane Archer as something of a base to build the class from.
Did you want the class to be entered specifically by Sorcerer and Gunslinger or would it be fine to use some other class like Wizard or someone who took Amateur Gunslinger.
Anyways, I'll look at the class a bit closer later, but if you want to progress spellcasting, grit, bloodline powers and potentially grant PrC specific abilities, you might want to drop a little bit of spellcasting levels.
If you feel like quoting something that I have said, you have my permission to use it. Unless it makes me look stupid.

The chassis is as agreed upon with my DM, so I don't think it's likely to change much. The Gunslinger normally uses their Wisdom mod for Grit, however the "Mysterious Stranger" archetype switches that to Charisma.

I've got to agree with you there. I think I'm going to drop bloodline stuff. You need to advance spellcasting and grit, though I'm not sure what rate I ought to advance grit at. And you've got to give some sort of PrC specific abilities - I really hate classes like the Eldritch Knight which grant you basically nothing. I'm not sure about the Arcane Archer as a base, however - I'm more interested in a swashbuckling daring-doer.

Here are some suggestions for the class.
    Spellcasting- 8/10 progression
Mage's Grit- Change the attribute associated for Grit to your main spellcasting attribute. Intelligence for Magus and Wizards, Charisma for Bards and Sorcerers.
Deeds- Gain access to a new deed every three levels.
Arcane Shot- When using the Imbue Bullet ability, you may use a grit point to increase the spell's DC by 1. This ability stacks with Spell Focus and Greater Spell Focus.
Magic Bullet- Similar to the Arcane Archer Enhance Arrow ability.
1 level- Flaming, Frost or Shock
    5 level- Ghost Touch
7 level- Flaming Burst, Frost Burst or Shocking Burst
9 level- Anarchic, Axiomatic, Holy or Unholy
Imbue Bullet- Same as the Arcane Archer ability.

Getting sleepy, so my focus is beginning to drift. I'll continue tomorrow.
If you feel like quoting something that I have said, you have my permission to use it. Unless it makes me look stupid.
