Just have some kind of musical theme to them is all it needs. Maybe all they do is have ranks in perform and a background of playing an instrument.

Hmm... after much deliberation, I think I've actually come up with an entry for this contest, after not having any ideas for the past months or so. I'll probably have it up by sometime tonight.

(Band Nerd Nitpick: The backwards dotted half-note in the competition banner - the note to the left of the word "Sing" - is driving me crazy! It should either be like the other, or the notehead should be at the top of the stem rather than the bottom! )

EDIT: Bhu, I'm torn. I LOVE Luke Kelly and the Dubliners, but you've also reminded me of Bad Religion (who I used to listen to with my old roommate a lot). And you've got Simon and Garfunkel, too! And Gnarls Barkley's is a bit like the theme for mine, so I'd be interested in your creation for it, too. I think, though, I'm gonna go with Bad Religion, just to see what you're gonna do with it.

I strongly suspect "Chaos Orc" got posted to the wrong thread...

As for the Sonorous Mouther my gut says 5/Slashing rather than 5/bludgeoning.

For the Pure Sinusoid I will note that that had better be a really big box unless the creator has a way of surviving without outside fresh air (and if you want to kill cat-girls the pressure from a bottle of air might cause the bends when the top is popped, or nitrogen narcosis (insanity from "The Abyss" if I have the name of the condition right) assuming the box was strong enough not to burst at the seams from the pressure).

Yeah, I think that's what I meant. Of course, it didn't help that, when I went to check the Gibbering Mouther in the MM to see what it's DR was, it had DR 5/bludgeoning. I'll have to look at the errata to see if that was a mistake or if the GM just has weird DR.

EDIT: Hmm, nothing about it in the errata, so I guess it's just weird.

<_< alright... I believe the crunch for the Singing Tree's abilities is finished, though I may add more songs to GaLW later. I also added Lore. now I need to add fluff make sure I like the descriptions and write the combat info @_@ and feats...

write two short "stories" involving Singing Trees.
add "growing a singing tree" section
add "Singing Tree Names, Habits, and Migration" section

also, I still need to figure out LA and CR. I have no clue about the LA, but I'll be putting up a CR soon (though I could still use opinions on that considering how fuzzy CR is)
