I am going to guess Fanged Eladrin isn't a 4E thing and is rather something LSN came up with himself, since otherwise that kind of ruins the mystery. On the other hand I am hoping that we will shortly get an explanation of what a fanged Eladrin is. If Odie is in the body of one, he really should be told that much at least.

We just did, and the explanation is that when an Eladrin is a jerk, he grows fangs as a consequence. Nothing especially fanciful, not a different race or whatever.

Right. I keep forgetting Eladrin aren't just a race of elves.

Even then I don't think Fanged Eladrin are that sort of race either. They aren't a singular group of people with genetic ties beyond just being Eladrin or from a different part of the world as other Eladrin. They are people whose forms changed due to their personality and actions. I don't think it is any more a race than a person that sharpens his teeth to look like a vampire.

I do think the fanged teeth will be relevant as people will see them and assume Odie is evil.

Nah, remember what they said: they're not growing back... Which means that Odie will be a toothless eladrin, which is also highly symbolic of his character, I believe. (though, that also means he will starve, according to fairy science).

Uhhhh... Green Archer/Lord of Drakes' Daughter specifically says Odie is going to grow a new set of teeth.

Wouldn't a spineless eladrin reflect Odie better than a toothless one anyways? Toothless usually means harmless, and Odie has damage output in spades. What he lacks/lacked was the ability to stand up for himself.

Yea, I previously thought Ardon would be raised as a reward for his heroic sacrifice but with Odie walking around in Ardon's body and no real way to get Odie's actual body back I am not so sure that is going to happen.

Not to mention that this way we can continue both Odie's and Ardon's plot threads so there is no worry about hanging plot threads.

Do...do you not? I can't fathom anyone actually believing the comic will resolve without Ardon's return in some form. I don't know how, but it's 100% certain that he'll be back. Probably sooner rather than later.

And he still kinda is. Odie's spirit possesses Ardon's body now; but I don't want to know how long it will last. My guess is "long", because we need more scenes of tragical misunderstandings.

I think that they are going to finally restore Odie; but it's difficult if his spirit is imprisoned inside of Ardon.

not really. i mean we saw his spirit fade into oblivion with the nightmare spirit. this Christmas comic also suggests this, thought admittedly it's canonicity is questionable.

honestly i feel like anything involving Ardon can be wrapped up just fine without him. Odie is in his body now, he effectively IS Ardon, personally i'd like to see this as a permanent change like Penut's intelligence, rather then it just being yanked away again.

suppose there IS the whole thing about Ardon not having a soul, hense why the nightmare spirit was trapped. So he might have a phylactery or something somewhere? idk?

Are you asking how human teeth work, or asking how Eladrin think they work? Because I get the feeling that Green Mask doesn't really put much thought into it.

My guess is that the 5 minute heal can be applied endlessly but only works on the results of hit point damage.

Well...you're entitled to your opinion. Personally, I very much doubt Ardon will be gone from the comic for any significant length of time.

I suppose. I've honestly been bored with the pacing here for a while and wish we'd just move on. We all know where this is heading, and we don't need 100 comics to get there. Things seem to be progressing slower and slower in every arc.

Of course a lot of that is because the characters are more fleshed out, and I'm sure it would read much better in larger chunks than as daily updates. Maybe I should just take a little break and try to read an arc at a time or something.
