    Default Class Colors

I've been playing DnD for a couple of years now.

On a completely unrelated note, or at least it was until this afternoon, I've also always wanted to try my hand at my little pony customizing (basically, re-coloring, hairing, and symboling a my little pony to give it an original design). I've been amassing materials for a little while, and an idea occoured to me: make a series of custom ponies representing the 11 core classes. The main problem with that is that I can't actually think of what those designs would look like. I have a few ideas for symbols (for Paladin, maybe a sword with a sort of starbursty effect, for Monk...maybe a hand or fist, for Bard, an instrument...for Druid, a tree...that sort of thing...) But I have no ideas for colors.

So...what colors do you think would represent the classes best?

I've always seen wizards as dark blue, maybe with some white or silver, personally...paladins, maybe gold or white or something...

Sorcerers= Purple, the color of nobility... Especially since the parallels are easy to draw between sorcery and nobility. Sorcerers are inherently better than common folk, through no fault of their own, but because they were born that way.

Barbarian: Blood red, or perhaps brown
    Bard: gaudy orange
    Cleric: Grey
    Druid: Leafy-green
    Fighter: Silver (or similar metallic)
Paladin: White, tint of blue, perhaps.
    Monk: Light brown, like sackcloth.
Rogue: Light black (AKA, dark grey)
    Sorcerer: Seconded the purple)
Wizard: Yellow, or maroon. They both suggest to me scholars.

I'd say the modifications you do are more important than the colors, really. You want to be able to show these to someone and they should instantly know which one is which. That is, if they are familiar with the core classes.

So my advice would be to try to duplicate the PHB iconic characters in some way. Give the Barbarian that jawbone-pauldron thing Krusk wears, for instance. The druid would have antlers.
"'To know, to do, and to keep silent.' Crowley had the first two down pat."

Deep blue or crimson, for scholars. Since crimson's rightly taken for barbarians (I can't imagine what else...) deep blue's probably the best bet. Harvard's crimson, Yale and Oxford are blue. Old traditions there.

You might want to read over http://www.bharatmatrimony.com/astrology/color.shtml or http://www.transitionaljourneys.com/...ergy/index.htm or similar pages for inspiration.

Barbarian - blood red (RAGE!), with a fist
Bard - orange or yellow (very jolly), with a lyre or harp
Cleric - light blue to signify devotion. A star with an aura (generic enough to be imagined as holy, unholy, lawful, or chaotic.)
Druid - light green, with a fruit-bearing tree
Fighter - silver or gray (like armor), with a sword with motion lines / motion blur
Monk - brown, with an open palm (kung-fu style)
Paladin - blue, with a very shiny sword and shield
Ranger - dark green, with a longbow peeking out from behind a bush
Rogue - dark gray or black, with a dagger dripping with green poison
Sorcerer - purple, maybe with lightning-type streaks (like the sith lightning effect)
Wizard - yellow or red, with a book with a red or golden rune on its cover

    Also of note:

I have a number of ongoing projects that I manically jump between to spend my free time ... so don't be surprised when I post a lot about something for a few days, then burn out and abandon it.
... yes, I need to be tested for ADHD.
