Whats a good Spell?

I am sacraficing my familar so i can get some spell like abilaties. i can Use a second lvl spell, im not sure which one i should use. It has to be from the conjuration school, i can check most spells you suggest is with my DM.

so far i have web, or baful transpotion.

Blindness, AOE. Win. Conjuration. Low will save enemies? Blind, everyone else wins.

Learning a variant Sculpted Grease from a meta scroll is a level 2 conjuration spell. Doing this with a sorcerer is nice so you can use your feats for other things although quicken is almost a necessity.

I'm not sure about the exact rules, but rope trick, glitterdust, or prot. arrows seem like good choices.

oh dont worry ive alrdy gon there but all it really says is teleport stuff, i dont have that abiliaty.

From the Core, I'd agree with Arbi and say Glitterdust. Although if it can be a divine spell, Cure Moderate Wounds is also a 2nd level spell...

i wish i could get divine spells... but alas no, only arcane. I havent looke through my SC yet.

Lesser Shivering Touch from Frostburn is nice. Useful against Dragons and Tank-like melee dudes (who have low Dex). Drawback is need to touch them.

Hehe. Probably one of my favorite spells in D&D.

Hideous laughter is pretty good. The single target aspect (chain spell FTW!) is somewhat annoying, as is the decrease in DC for non-humanoids, but otherwise, it's deadly.

Not as good as irresistable dance, of course, but it is, certainly, a "save or lose".

EDIT: True. But it's still really handy, even if not applicable. I still say glitterdust. My DM now fears the words "sculpted glitterdust".

2nd level Conjouaration?

Glitterdust and Web are the power players there - one blinds and lets everyone see invisibile things, the other really cramps the opposition's style (no-save entanglement is kinda mean - even if they make the reflex save, it still applies), provides cover, slows enemy movement, and has a decent chance of stopping a great many opponents cold.
