You're a Were-What???

Looking at the lycanthrope template, I was thinking about what would be some of the most unusual/strange/hilarious were you could be.

The first that comes to mind is the Were-Donkey, as one of my players said: "You think Bob's bad now, at night he's a real ass!"

What other weres can you come up with?

In the book 'Prince of the North' or one of the books of that series, with Gerin the Fox as the main character, on the Were-night, there was a Were-Salmon I believe.

And a bear that was Were-Human.

I might be wrong, but I believe that the 'were' part means 'man', so a 'were-human' is kind of tautological.

That said, I would like to see a were-mole. Or a were-melon.

Were-Badger dwarf. Pretty sure that actually existed in the Ravenloft setting. And very easy to recreate now, with dire badger being in the MM and all. I suddenly have an urge to play one, if only it weren't for the chorus of 'badgers badgers badgers badgers, mushroom mushroom!' that would inevitably follow.

I think a Were-Spider would be pretty awesome. As would a Were-Komodo or other large lizard, maybe a croc.

On the other side of the spectrum you have the Were-Tapeworm....no never mind that's just unnecessary and depressing.

Dragons already can do that in my campaigns.

In 2nd edition, most dragons could not turn into human form; bronzes, silvers, and golds were the only core ones capable of doing so. Also, in the Realms, there was the the Waterdeep dragon, the Steel dragon, and the weredragon (who could only turn into human females).
