Hmm I'm a bit confused about why Roy would bother gathering everyone together if he hadn't managed to smuggle Celia out at this point yet ??? Feels like there was a strip missing where Roy was meant to be interrupted.

The little bump in the curtain that you don't notice until after the reveal was a particularly nice touch.

Shame that Haley and Elan clearly got nowhere after we left them, judging by her expression. Elan's expression is just his usual clueless smile, so that could mean anything.

Funny you should say that; it's 9:30 here which is my normal sort of time for checking (from my point of view the strips come out Tuesday and Thursday) and here I am with first page goodness.

Also: Exactly how many things did V leave explosive runes on and how many times is Belkar going to fall for it before he learns? Hopefully a very large number in both cases

The best punchlines are implied. It's implied that Belkar just set off another explosive runes (which goes back to implying that his Wisdom is in the nether realms). It's implied that Roy and Celia just had a wild New Year's night. Likewise, it's implied that one or more members of the OotS walked in before Roy was quite ready for them.

What I'm implying here is that this was a strip that was worth accidentally staying up to read. ;)

Its probably safer call everyone in and send them off doing something than have them possibly wander in while trying to smuggle her out...

Its entirely possible that one or more of the party called by Roy's room whichput him in this situation... I agree though, could have been done as a comic. Think the problem is that there are limited panels available and I wouldn't want to drop any of the ones that are there :D
