Re: OOTS #318 - The Discussion Thread
Resolve Haley and Elan, resolve it now!
The coded messages were a fun gimmick to begin with but they ceased to be that a long time ago. I don't appreciate having to decode the dialog in a comic strip and I am not wasting time doing it in order to get a joke which will -more often than not- not be all that funny anyway.
I know there are many out there who claim that they enjoy the cryptograms but these tend to be the same people that claim to fall of their chair laughing after every strip. As these people obviously have no sense of proportion then their opinions don't count.
On a positive note I thought the comic strip was mildly amusing (it wasn't funny but I don't suppose they all have to be) and I thoroughly support Roy having sex with the blue, winged chick.
Afterthought: If the cryptograms are going to be incoporated into the comic Rich could just add a decoded script at the bottem of the comic. Alternatively, if he had the technical know-how, he could include a flash animation in the comic that reverted the text to english when you moved the mouse over the speach bubble.

Has anyone else noticed that Haley is only in the first panel, even though she should be seen behind Elan. I know that not until the last panel is it obvious, but I think The Giant left her out on purpose.

Plot advancement, halflings taking an explosive runes to the face and a very dishevelled Celia. Again, this comic had everything. ;D

"I TOLD you we should have used my place"
That really was what got it for me. Not the fact that he was hiding her, or the explosive runes, or really anything else. I read that part and couldn't help cracking up.
It's the first time I've seriously laughed at this strip in months. If my text is blue, I'm being sarcastic. But you already knew that, right?

Re: OOTS #318 - The Discussion Thread
so, where did V hide the explosive runes this time? Who dares to guess?
My guess: after being blown up with the coffee Belkar decided to take a nice cold shower. So he went in, all naked and as the halfling-god created him and then he touched that water tap... BOOOOOOM!

Re: OOTS #318 - The Discussion Thread
This comic warrants an "I scored with an outsider" t-shirt, with Roy and Celia on it. ;D
She is technically an outsider, right? I'm not too familiar with creature types.Ad maiorem Dei gloriam.

Re: OOTS #318 - The Discussion Thread
I think Roy got a bonus for being a woman for a while recently also...
Celia seems to be a nice elemental also.
