The flower in #692 isn't necessarily dangerous in itself, but it's certainly well-defended and dangerous to retrieve.

Not exactly what I had in mind (mostly because as you said, that flower isn't really dangerous), so if you have a little patience I'll give a hint for now, and give you the floor if it doesn't work out.

Well that's a botanical conundrum, isn't it? Trees can and do flower, but this one doesnt produce anything but swords. You could argue that the swords are the flowers, but the swords could likewise be the fruits. Or thorns, if weirdly placed. But if the flowers are swords, then I don't think it's fair to say that the flowers have swords.

Also, sword-tree. Can't remember the strip though.

OK, I'm thinking someone with a name that means Flower or Blossom or something, armed with swords.

The only plant I remember with swords was the Sword Tree from No Cure for the Paladin Blues. And that's offline, so not eligible for this quiz.

Or I'm just forgetful and can't remember the sword-flower. That's possible too.

I don't know many yellow musk creepers that carry swords, but there is a Fiend Folio (2.0?) with a yellow musk zombie with a sword. Link here.

In addition, I also found this comic. I can't justify it, but has swords and vaguely plantlike monster. (I Know that otyugh aren't plants but aberrations, sssst.)

That's a normal sized bat, but a literal vampire. I forgot that happened even, great find.

The one I want is at least large sized, how else can we compare it to the giant vampire bat of the old days.
