You arent going to do anything inappropriate but if you cant get out from under her before she wakes up, the morning is going to get loud. Especially if she stripped down to her panties.
His expression definitely seems to suggest dislike/annoyance more than panic/fear/worry to me.
So I think it's more that he has a problem with her snuggling at all and not that he thinks about potential trouble.

Even the first time it happened looked like a reaction to waking up with someone this close at all, so it seems he doesn't like being touched.
Wether that's in general, women, humans or the witch specifically* is unclear.

*Maybe he sees her as something like family, someone you like, but not that way.

Right now I wish I was a betting type of man, because I think that:

    1. His facial expression signals uncomfortable, not revoulsion.
    2. They will get it together.
    3. He sleeps naked due to cultural norms/habit.

In a way, the art style is a metaphor for the narrative- overall kinda meh, with strange patches of attentiveness and loving rendition, applied to things that, upon reflection, nobody asked for.

Well that puts paid to the disgust theory of his facial expression. Turns out snuggle sleeping is awesome when it doesnt trigger visions!

So it was just bad art the whole time. Though, it could also be inconsistent storytelling. I mean, either one works.

Honestly? it's not masterful art but I had exactly zero problems telling the author's intent here with the facial expressions. It's a stock conflict that makes sense given context

And the first place to look for it is in the remote chaotic village's porn shop?
Unless he was following them, or (more likely) using magic to find the book, the levels of coincidences just don't make sense.

I mean, he is the antagonist, isn't he?
And it isn't the first time he mysteriously appeared and took a hint away from the protagonists.
So yeah, he's probably scrying them* and went for this book specifically so they can't get it.

Mind you, I'm not saying this is a good way of doing this, particularly because it's barely a minor setback.
Wasn't Snout traveling on a library tour for those books anyway?
So all this accomplished is that he can't take this one off the list yet.

The coincidence is even worse because he chose the exact moment that snout was able to buy it to finish his purchase despite it being the third time he tried to do so. (first no money, second shop was closed) This has drifted from being an antagonist to being a troll. All he needs now is a smirk then a swirly vanish act to complete the scene. After that we hopefully will get more of an info dump on this guy and maybe a bit more on exactly wtf is going on.

    Update

I'm not even sure he is the antagonist.
Arudak just doesn't give the "bad guy vibe" so far.

I'm guessing we're going to have a wall of text (somehow) that explains all the events.
I even predict it will eventually (not necessarily right after this town) lead to all three of them traveling together, so prepare to a three person nude drawing...

Snout was traveling for the book, but the list contained a bunch of libraries around the world, not a porn shop in an unknown town.
Following them is the only thing that makes sense, and even then the coincidence about the timing is a little weird.
Then again, compared to others it's no more than a rank 4 in the Dirk Gently meter, not something to be ignored, but we've seen much worse.

You mean the pages that belonged to him and were stolen?
At least based on his facial expression, he took pity on Snout, maybe seeing him as an innocent bystander working for the witch without knowing all the details.
Stunning him and destroying the way to communicate with the witch were just a way to try to leave him out of this.

Worst of all? I don't even consider Snout to be an innocent bystander after "the pages belonged to him but he doesn't deserve them" was not followed by obvious questions about what does she mean about that.

We'll probably get an info dump soon, and the witch would probably avoid a clear answer, but like so many other cases so far: I don't mind the protagonist failing, I mind when he doesn't bother to try because the author knows he will not succeed.

The pages originally being his and that he might have a good motivation doesn't change that the orc has played a antagonistic role* in relation to Snout so far.
Maybe that will change, maybe not, we'll see.
Would be funny if Arudak followed Snout because he noticed the poor guy wanted the book too and tried to give it to him.

*Mind you, antagonist, not villain or bad guy. If the story's about the Evil Overlord conquering all of creation he's both the villain/bad guy and the Protagonist and the ragtag bunch of misfits trying to stop him might be the heroes, but they're also the antagonists.

Actually I would call the ink-witch angry/hateful and Ardurak disappointed or exhausted.
    Or sad maybe?
Possibly he really hoped he could keep Snout out of whatever is going on between him and the ink-witch and is reacting to him being in her company.
The witch on the other hand looks as if she wants to rip his face off.

Im betting the ink witch isnt actually as good as snout might think. This has all the signs of a misunderstood bad guy and the secret villain in the party. Or perhaps this will be a case of neither side being that good, they all want the info on DD for different selfish, if not all bad reasons.

At first I thought about the standard differences, like "we want to spread the knowledge, while the orc only wishes to hide it from everyone else"
But I like this idea A LOT better.
