If she just came to him saying "Hey Snout, I can use magic to activate your prophetic dreams" do you think he would refuse?

Thank the gods.
This is the one time the wild zone side effects was done right, and it does sort of explain what she meant in the previous update.
This removes the majority of the problems and I'm glad my sanity is restored, if only for a little while.

Eh. Even if we give her the benefit of the doubt here and assume everything she said about how her magic works (and currently doesn't) is true, she's still not off the hook. She is deliberately snuggling with Snout while knowing that doing so causes her to inadvertently invade his dreams. Either she still wants to see his dreams, or her selfish desire to cuddle outweighs any sense of Snout's privacy. If she were truly honest about not messing with Snout, then she'd stop sleeping on top of him.

This. While I agree with most of the rest that was said by random, and it DOES remove several layers of the skeevy, it doesnt remove them all.

I'm sure there are other people staying at this inn, and even if not, there's an owner. Yet, they didn't have naked symbol dreams with Ink Witch. It seems like the minimum safe distance isn't too bad.

I agree, but it's just that the other options were so SO much worse, that despite the problems that remain I can't help feeling relieved.

The difference between "I'm going to deliberately use my magic to force you to have dreams" and "I'm going to deliberately enable my uncontrolled magic to force you to have dreams" is purely cosmetic.

These are dreams he is already having, assuming she is telling the truth, her presence just lets him remember them or otherwise be more lucid dreaming than normal. If she was inflicting dreams on him that would be worse, all she is doing though is making him aware that he is having dreams that may show a connection to his search, which is interesting.

It's another dream sequence, but this time based on her dreams.

I'd still prefer if Snout actually asked or shown interest in anything about the witch (besides her being naked), but I guess beggars can't be choosers, at least we'll get some sort of background information.

Now we learn the ink witch coven is actually in general a bunch of jerk faces. The ink witch we know was an outlier. Im guessing the next couple comics will be newbies in a scream match with the ink witch and snout will again be left out of it as its verbal.

Yep. Im going with hurtful comment aimed at snout which brought out our boy, then possibly some sort of "And now we have to kill him" comment from the dude who needs a nap and a hat.

I've been waiting for someone to punch Snout for his "diplomatic skills" for ages! (or at least, what feels like a very long time)

Turns out that symbol means endings (by horrible death) so Snout was actually threatening to kill the dude without realizing it.

Looks like he struggled to get up then collapsed. He went from sitting up to doing the pushup stance to stand. Then collapsed. Now im curious as to what will be going on when he wakes back up. Will his diary be missing too? Will he be kind of left lying there and these two much more violent people have left with his buddies? Will there be an epic huge confrontation where they fight it out in the street?

That series of events makes no sense. When you want to stand up from a sitting position, you don't go further down onto your stomach. That's going backwards. You can't even go from stomach to standing in one motion, anyways.

Its not exactly easy to go from sitting on your butt on the ground to standing. There are generally more than one step between sitting and standing. He was gut punched, likely felt ill and sore, and felt the need for more stability to get up. Speaking as a fat man, when I fall, I get up from a seated sort of position by rolling over so my arms are doing a pushup locked arm stance on the ground to take some of my weight, pushing up with my arms so I can easily get my legs under me in the right position to stand, then I stand. What snout did is hardly some absurd movement that makes no sense, he is pretty clearly shaky even before he collapses forward, so wanting more stability when he tries to get up is hardly going backwards. its a comic not a movie, so showing every motion possible to get from a sitting to an attempt at standing position isnt strictly necessary. There is a lot of stuff wrong with how mookie draws his comics, this isnt one of them.

Wow, the complete lack of background, the sudden change from the hug to the walk, and the immediate meeting confused me, and I didn't even THINK of the option they just went outside on the next day.
