Curly being the reason why that veritable army of dwarves can help destroy Xykon is looking more and more likely, the only problem with this theory being that it involves Curly.

On the other hand, the dwarves don't know how unreliable Curly is, so her very survival might be reason enough for them to stay and protect the town.

That’s the third time she escapes a close encounter in less than a dozen hours and she’s out of allies. ‘Not again’ is the correct response. Any idea where she reformed?

She fled the battle of the Forcecage, the battle in the banquet hall, and now the battle of the Council of Clans. She’s sick of fleeing, and worsening her position each time, I think.

Third time in one day where the good guys won a battle and she had to flee (she was in the fight versus Brother Sandstone and was the sole survivor of the fight against Durkon).

It's been a day since the Order got there, I think so the third time. She reformed probably a short ways past the platform, because it isn't a hallway and she passed Hilgya

From Curly's POV, it is like a game of Paranoia, the leader badge is a bullseye symbol pinned over the heart. And poor Curly is now wearing that badge, whether she wants it or not.

Seems a bit unfair. After all, she might have wanted a simple unlife of normal down to earth depraved butchery and mayhem. This destroying the world plan is such a bad deal.
