Experience Query.

I've without my books at work and I can't find it in the SRD.
How much experience is required to advance from level 3 to level 4.

Can someone either tell me or direct me to a location that I can figure it out myself.?

You need 4,000XP to be level 3. You need 9,000XP to be level 4.

So you need 5,000XP to advance from level 3 to level 4.

Where'd you get that information from? Second edition?

In 3.x, here's how it works: At any given level X, you need X * 1000 additional xp to reach the next level. A level 1 character needs 1000 xp to become level 2. A level 2 character needs 2000 more xp, or 3000 total, to become level 3. You can figure out the next step for yourself, right?

Huh. I thought for sure it was a square progression and not triangular...guess I mixed it up with enhancement bonus costs.

In other words, Level 4 is 6000 total XP, or 3000 XP over the start of Level 3.
