Shanna takes the water, and holds it as she turns away from the bar to take a look around.

He shrugs. "If so, I'm not privy to it."

Shanna takes the water, and holds it as she turns away from the bar to take a look around.

Shanna notes that she is, indeed, inside of a tavern/pub type location.

Shanna takes a drink of the water, then sets it down.

Thank you. I’ll be going now.

She makes to leave, starting toward the door.

The barkeep dumps the water back into the cask and resumes wiping down the glass.

Lilac follows Shanna.

Outside, she asks Do you think we should go right to the hunt, or try to gear up first? And I gotta say, for a bartender... Not the friendly sort.

We don’t have any cash. Without money, arming ourselves will be a bit difficult.But we can always see if there is anyone more friendly to aiding us. One of the farms might have something we can use for weapons, if we are helping clear their rabbit problem. Or the village mayor might be willing to front us some money for a problem he might have. But if that barman was any indication of the rest of the village...

Lilac will lead the way now. She looks to find people who are out and about, and talks to them in a friendly manner.

She first encounters a burly man walking towards the fields carrying a large garden hoe.

You approach him, and before you can get a word in, he exclaims, "Whoa! What in the heck are you? Never seen a metal lady before."

Um... Hi, Lilac says. I'm Lilac. And, no, I would imagine not. She's a little nonplussed at the start of the interactions, but puts a smile on her face nonetheless. I'm a performer, a singer of songs and weaver of words. My friend Shanna here is of a more martial bent, and helped keep us safe getting to your village. We've heard that the village has a rabbit problem, and while we'd love to help, we're a little... Undergeared, at the moment. If there's something we could do in exchange for a little coin or equipment, we'd be happy to help.

"Oh, so you're like when that merchant came through a couple months back with this little metal nightingale that sings when you wind up the key. But, you know... prettier."

He seems a bit bashful but friendly.

"Oh, yeah, there's rabbits everywhere. They're so bad it's causing some major problems. We keep trapping and killing them, but more just keep showing up. Never seen them breed like this before. They seem worst near the cabbage fields over that way."

Thank you, Lilac says in response to the compliment on her looks. And I guess a bag would be helpful-do you know if anyone in town has any old weapons we could borrow? We'll be certain to return them, or pay for them properly, once we're done.

The goods is, Shanna knows where one rabbit dungeon is. The bad news is, that it isn’t going to be easy to get back to. But if they are causing this much trouble with the crops there must be at least one nearby.

Lilac. You go with him. I am going to go see about getting some work for a day.Maybe I can get us some coin for food and and a room for the night.

She then proceeds to see about finding the farrier. Surely he needs some help.

Alright, Lilac replies.

He unties a large bag from his belt and tosses it to you.

"Well, there might be pitchfork or maybe a woodcutting ax someone would be willing to loan you, but we don't really have much need for weapons most of the time.

The farrier might be able to make you something too, but I don't know what he'd charge you."

The villager has continued to walk towards the fields as you chat with him.

She finds the farrier on the far end of town from where you entered. It's not far from a stable.

The "building" is little more than a roof on poles with a forge and anvil under it.

You can see a man hammering on a horseshoe.

Since y'all are splitting up, let's move action back to your individual threads so that I don't get confused.

Lilac arrives at the farrier looking for Shanna just as Shanna is getting off work for the day.

Ah. Lilac! I was just about to head to meet you! How did your searching go?

I found what seems to be the entrance to the cave of bunnies. We'll either need to shrink ourselves to get in, or excavate it, she relays. There's also an old, empty church to the north. How was your day?

[Lentrax]

My day was fine. Worked for the farrier. And killed a rabbit. If we can I might see if I can get what we need to start a fire so I can roast it. Got us 25 coppers, not much, but it should be able to get us some basic supplies.

Let's focus on getting you geared up-I took Eschew Materials, so I can cast and sing just fine.

Not sure what we will find here. The smith told me he doesn’t have the skill to make weapons, beyond maybe a dagger. Which means weapons will all be bought from traders that come through. The barman at the Strawberry said something about maybe having something, if we had money. Should we try there first?

As good a plan as any, Lilac replies, and heads for the Strawberry. As she goes, she comments Hope the barkeep isn't too grumpy this time.

We have money this time.

With Lilac's assent, Shanna goes to the Strawberry and enters the bar. Again.

You enter The Lethal Strawberry.

Inside is dark and rank with the musk of unwashed farmhands. A handful of tables with benches are tossed in haphazardly wherever they'll fit.

Along the right wall is a solid wood bar, once lovingly polished, it's now stained with one too many spilled drinks.

A portly barkeep stands behind it, idly polishing a stein with a dirty rag that smudges the grime around more than it seems to wipe it away.

"Welcome back, perhaps?"

Shanna smiles warmly. I took your advice. Worked for the smith today. Made a few coins. Enough, perhaps to have a rabbit roasted, a glass of wine, and that aid you hinted at earlier?
