Yeah, that was the Allies. The British kicked it off, and the americans followed suit with folks like Robert McNamara. Specifically, I believe this one was Patrick Blackett, one of the granddaddies of OR (that's Operations Research), working for Bomber Command Operational Research Section.

I love knowing what happened. (My whole family has worked in OR at some point or another, so it's a big story for us).

Edit: to be fair, the brass were pretty stupid. Blackett had his team doing the investigations, and he put up a big poster of a silhouette of a bomber on his wall and stuck a pushpin in whenever they found a bullet hole. And when he presented to the commanders wanted to shift armor plating to where there were the clusters, because "We're getting hit there."

So, naturally, Pat spent half an hour shouting at them for being morons and said "Yes you're being hit there, and you can obviously take it, because an awful lot of bombers with bullet holes there are landing back at the airstrip. You need to armor the patches where there AREN'T any holes, because when you're getting hit there YOU AREN'T COMING BACK!"

I haven't noticed anything yet. He's still cheerfully mercenary, and really egotistical. But designating him as butt monkey status for effectiveness may be giving him sympathy points, I guess?

Annie is clearly working out some aggression issues about Jim, though.

I actually think that's it. Pete is irritating when he succeeds, but sympathetic when he fails. Especially since he is what should be his element.

Eh Sally's not on it either and the only PCs/NPCs who are listed are ones who've made appearances thus far.

I can't imagine Jim will be gone from this completely, he has to be there for all those horrible scenes we know are going to take place between Padme and Anakin. The fact Jim and Annie are on the outs with each other can only mean those scenes will be even more horrible, by which I mean even more awesome.

I just now managed to catch up to the newest page of this comic and I have to say this comic really makes me laugh out loud a lot. While I have barely any experience with tabletop games, I can recognize a lot of elements here and the dynamics between the players is just so funny. Also the comments help me learn some things too! So yeah, a comic I'm sure to be following. XD
