I thought the burn was due to the snap. The gauntlet was pretty messed up after Thanos did it.

IIRC it was both, but I’d need to re-watch Endgame to compare the relative amount of damage Thanos had post-stone destruction vs. post-Snap.

Though now I think about it, maybe they repaired the melted gauntlet after chopping it off of Thanos- but still, Tony didn't have it at the end- he grabbed the stones into his suit, not designed for them, and that's why he died.

One factor might also be that Tony is inherently less durable than Thanos. The two of them, no stones each, well, Thanos is definitely tougher.

Do we know if "Stark went to Sakaar" storyline just hasn't been written/animated, was produced and withheld because it turned out to be bad, or is just being held as a bonus release in the future?

from what I've seen, it's fully done and will be included in the second season. Just had to be cut for time from the first season.

If I recall Polygon said in an article it will be in Season 2.

Now I think about it, the way they find Thanos's retirement farm is because he atomising the stones gave off a pulse just as powerful as the snap, so his arm being even more damaged would make sense.
