Xykon is supposed to end sentences with words containing an even number of letters.
In Panel 6, he ends his sentence with the word "works" which is 5 letters.

Which makes me wonder if the Quinton caught him saying that. That's a big problem for Team Evil if so. There wasn't a strike system established, the deal just ends if the Quinton realizes Xykon screwed up.

The thing is, it only cars that Xykon tries. So it may have caught it, realized that Xykon didn't notice and still tried to adhere to the rule on the next sentence and so, let it slide.

Hmm.... Good point, considering how the celestial realm evaluates Lawful Goodness. And the Quinton DID say the point was to have Xykon consider his words for the first time ever.

I think that despite it being punctuated in comic with an exclamation point, Xykon may have intended to comma splice the sentence. Or maybe a semicolon. The exclamation point would just show his emphasis rather than the end of his sentence.

I'm fairly sure that exclamation marks can be used for emphasis inside a sentance, certainly true for quatations as "Stop!" he cried is part of this sentance even though it contains an exclamation mark and if it were a period (for instance) you'd just remove it.
