Monkey vs. Wizard
Title says it all. A monkey. A Wizard. A battle of epic poo-portions.
The monkey has cymbals, a red vest, and a red Shriner's hat.
No further restrictions.
Discuss.

Re: Monkey vs. Wizard
Sadly the e y can't save it. The wizard defeats it, but it might be reasonbly hard for a high level wizard to do it. Too paranoid.

Re: Monkey vs. Wizard
This definately falls under 'Silly Message board games'.
Anyway, the monkey is obviously a Titanic Vivacious variant, so this is the battle:
- Wizard wins Initiative, but spends his turn rolling on the floor laughing.
- The Monkey squishes the wizard with its cimbals.- When danger reared it's ugly head, it bravely turned it's tail and fled.
Ah, the Socratic Method. The best way we have of teaching everything-apart from juggling chainsaws.

Re: Monkey vs. Wizard
A bunch of low-level bards? Hm. Depends on whether or not the Wizard likes doo-wop enough to let them get close.

Re: Monkey vs. Wizard
The wizard can easily imprison the monkees, wall of iron or stone probably, they're just high level experts.

Re: Monkey vs. Wizard
I dunno, what if the Monkees have that feat who's name escapes me, where you make a perform check and the wizard makes a concentration check or his spell gets ruined? Or something like that... might've been homebrewed... Either way, the Monkees can also cast Summon mob of pre-teen girls, which the wizard would have to cloudkill, earning him an alignment change and the ire of some high level good adventurers. The wizard would then be beaten up by a CoDzilla, another wizard, a fighter, a rogue, and a bard, who would eat his XP and then gain his power. The Monkees would use this time to pack their equipment up and leave, thus 'winning'.

Re: Monkey vs. Wizard
It all depends if the wizard perceives the monkey as a threat. If he does, the lil guy's toasted before he can ring a single tone on his cymbals... but if he doesn't, then he will probably try to catch the monkey, and this happens.

Re: Monkey vs. Wizard
Don't forget, they were popular in the dawn of the 70's, so those pre-teen girls are now vibrant members of the AARP, and there's not much worse than a Wizard slaughtering a mass of elderly women All of their epic level Wizard husbands would avenge them, since in D&D, every old guy is basically a Wizard anyway right? So would the AARP be a guild? We should stat one out. Each member would get a signet ring that entitles them to 10 off of goods and services from participating merchants.
And how can the Monkees be a rip-off of the Beatles? Really, one is named after a bug, the other after a mammal. And the Beatles were never on the Brady Bunch IIRC. And the BBEG of Pirates of the Carribean 2 & 3 is named after one of the Monkees too, hah! *ducks*

Re: Monkey vs. Wizard
The monkey's symbals actually cast wail of the banshee every time they are struck together, but it's called "clang of the banshee" instead.
